These are cues—not secret commands

ChatGPT does not have a universal hidden command language for these phrases. They work because concise labels communicate intent. Results still depend on your context, constraints, source material, and requested output. A label such as FACT-CHECK asks for verification; it does not guarantee live browsing or make an unsupported claim true.

Likewise, asking for “chain of thought,” “force trace,” or “metacognitive” output cannot guarantee access to private internal reasoning. Ask instead for a concise rationale, assumptions, calculations, evidence, or a verification checklist you can inspect.
